Geology Staff

Bernard Salmon, Eng., General Manager – Québec, Principal Consulting Geological Engineer, is based in based in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. He has over 25 years of experience in mining geology and exploration. He worked more than two decades as Mine Geologist and Chief Geologist at various underground and open pit mining operations with major Canadian mining companies. He has extensive experience in organization and management of a mine geology department as well as planning and supervision of definition and exploration drilling programs. He has been involved in resource and reserve estimation of a variety of gold and base metal deposits. He has extensive experience with Gemcom and other software.

Luke Evans, P.Eng., Director – Resource Estimation, Principal Geologist, has over 26 years of mineral industry and consulting experience, specializing in resource and reserve audits, estimates and training, geostatistical studies, valuations of mineral properties, technical reports and due diligence. Mr. Evans has worked on gold, silver, base metals, copper, iron ore, manganese, sulphide and laterite nickel, uranium, and industrial mineral projects worldwide, including Canada, USA, Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Greece, Botswana, PNG, Finland, Sweden, Kazakhstan, and Siberia.

Chester Moore, P.Eng., P.Geo., is a Principal Geologist with over 30 years' experience in base metals and gold including all facets of mineral exploration, mine geology and development, due diligence investigations and scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies. He has experience in a variety of geological environments in North America, South America, as well as Africa and Australia. He has worked on numerous projects involving mineral resource and reserve estimation and has extensive experience in advanced exploration programs to the feasibility study level for nickel laterite, nickel sulphide, copper porphyry, and copper-zinc deposits.

Hrayr Agnerian, P.Geo., Associate Principal Geologist, has extensive experience in mineral exploration activities, from project generation through management. He has worked in a variety of geological environments across Canada, as well as internationally. Mr. Agnerian has worked on a variety of projects involving estimation of mineral resources and reserves of gold, massive sulphide and uranium deposits, gemstones and industrial minerals. Mr. Agnerian has also carried out numerous valuations of mineral properties and has prepared technical reports.

David Rennie, P.Eng., Principal Geologist based in the Vancouver office, has over 30 years experience, including resource and reserve estimates, technical reports, audits, and due diligence assignments for a wide range of mineral deposits in many areas of the world. He has experience in geological modeling using Gemcom, Surpac, and Vulcan software.

Richard Routledge, P.Geol., P.Geo., Associate Principal Geologist, has more than 35 years of international experience that has included most aspects of mineral exploration for base and precious metals, diamonds and industrial minerals, as well as the evaluation and valuation of mining properties, due diligence audits and reviews for financial institutions and the preparation of independent reports for securities commissions. He has participated in scoping studies and estimated resources and reserves for gold, nickel-copper-platinum group metals, volcanogenic massive sulphide, uranium and iron ore deposits and has been involved in audits of reserves for major porphyry copper, volcanogenic massive sulphide, copper oxide, chromite, hard rock and placer gold, and diamond deposits. He has extensive experience with computer block modelling and geostatistical methods related to resource and reserves estimation.

David Ross, P.Geo., is a Principal Geologist with more than fifteen years experience in the mineral industry. He has worked on numerous gold, uranium, silver, lead, zinc and nickel projects at most stages of mineral resource development. He has five years international exploration experience for both large-cap and junior mining companies in Indonesia, Mongolia, Chile, and Mexico. At RPA, Mr. Ross is focused on making mineral resource estimates, independent NI 43-101 technical reports, and due diligence reviews.

Patti Nakai-Lajoie, P.Geo., Principal Geologist, has over 25 years experience in data compilation, modeling, interpretation, scoping studies and prefeasibility studies on advanced exploration projects and operating mines in Canada and Africa. Her experience includes the supervision of underground and surface exploration programs, grade control and mining reconciliation. Ms. Nakai-Lajoie's mineral resource evaluation experience includes resource estimation and block/resource modelling. Ms. Nakai-Lajoie is familiar with geostatistical methods of mineral resource estimation and has extensive experience in geological modelling using VULCAN software.

Robert de l’Etoile, Eng., is a Principal Geological Engineer with extensive consulting experience in the fields of mineral resource estimation, orebody modelling, technical due diligence of mineral properties, and preparation of NI 43-101 Technical Reports. Mr. de l’Etoile is experienced in computer programming of applications for the mining industry. He contributed to the development of the Geostat Software Library. Mr. de l’Etoile’s international consulting experience includes assignments in Papua New Guinea, USA, China, Africa, South America and Russia. Mr. de l’Etoile is fluent in French, and has a working knowledge of English and Spanish.

Christopher Moreton, Ph.D., P.Geo., Senior Consulting Geologist, has more than 20 years experience in minesite and regional-scale mineral exploration campaigns. His hands-on field experience includes the management of deep-hole diamond drill programs and the integration of geological, geophysical and geochemical datasets for target definition. As a Gemcom user, Dr. Moreton has extensive experience with various block modeling and geostatistical techniques related to resource and reserve estimation. Commodities evaluated for NI 43-101 technical reports range from base and precious metals through to uranium, tungsten and rare earth elements.

Barry Cook, P.Eng., Associate Consulting Geologist, has more than 40 years experience in mineral exploration. His expertise includes a wide variety of geological models and geological terrains. He has worked on numerous lead, zinc, copper, nickel, gold, PGE and uranium projects throughout Eastern and Northern Canada, Greenland, Western Europe and Southern Africa. He has carried out numerous valuations of uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada, prepared qualifying reports for AIM market, London, UK, and written National Instrument 43-101 technical reports on various gold, uranium, base metal, and diamond property situations.

Paul Chamois, P.Geo., Senior Consulting Geologist, has over 25 years of senior exploration and project management experience. He has a solid background in base metal and gold exploration from project generation to evaluation of advanced opportunities. Mr. Chamois has played a significant role in several base metal discoveries in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. He has participated in several property valuations and has written NI 43-101 Technical Reports on gold, uranium and base metal properties in Canada and elsewhere.

Helen Oliver, C.Geol., is a Senior Geologist based in London, UK. Helen has over fifteen years experience in the international mining industry. She has been involved in exploration and mining projects and operations in Africa (including South Africa, Namibia, Sierra Leone, CAR, Angola, Senegal, and Liberia), Australia, South America, Russia and the UK.

Helen has undertaken various mineral resource assessments using Datamine and Surpac. Helen returned to the UK in 2003 and completed a MSc in Geotechnical Engineering which was used for two years in a consulting environment. Other consulting assignments scoping studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, due diligence and audits, valuations, resource / reserve assessments (including 3-dimensional modelling) and exploration program design and management. Her experience covers a range of commodities including diamonds, gold, iron, industrial minerals, silver, platinum and chrome.

Barry McDonough, P.Geo., Senior Geologist, is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has over 20 years experience in exploration and mining geology. He has a grassroots through mining background, including planning and supervision of exploration programs and the management of underground geological operations. He has worked on a number of Canadian gold, diamond, and base metals exploration projects. He is experienced in using MineSight and Gemcom software.

Tudorel Ciuculescu, P.Geo., Senior Geologist, has over five years of exploration experience. Mr. Ciuculescu has been involved in projects both in Canada and Chile. He is responsible for data management, interpretation and modelling for exploration drill programs, scoping studies, and mineral resource estimations.

Elizabeth McMonnies, P.Geo. is a Geologist with over 20 years experience in the mining industry in Canada and Brazil. Ms. McMonnies has full working capabilities in analysis and software applications, and has experience maintaining several information databases. She is fully competent in numerous geo-software applications including Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Spatial Analyst, 3-D Analyst, MapInfo Professional, SAS (cluster analysis), Tanagra, GSLib, LIMS, ISO soft, SAP, MS-Project.

Bart Jordan, E.I.T. is a Senior Geologist specializing in 3D geologic modelling based in the Denver office. Mr. Jordan also has nine years domestic and international experience installing, integrating and analyzing information technology systems. Mr. Jordan is an experienced user of Vulcan, and also uses Isite Studio and Canvas software.

Katya Masun, P.Geo. is a Geologist with more than 13 years experience in mineral exploration, evaluation and project management; in particular the exploration and evaluation of diamond properties. Her international experience includes Brazil, India and South Africa (diamonds), Australia (iron ore) and USA (copper, nickel, PGE deposits).

Robert Herzig, MBA is a Geologist and Graduate Gemologist. His areas of expertise include strategic management, financial analysis, and sustainability practices. Prior to joining RPA, Mr. Herzig was a research analyst on junior mining companies, carried out exploration work in the USA, and worked on permitting and environmental research for a major Canadian mining company.

Rosmery Cardenas Barzola, AusIMM is a Geologist with ten years of experience including exploration, development, and production operations at both underground and open pit facilities. She has a high level of experience with mining software and 3D modeling systems. Ms. Cardenas has extensive experience with logging, geological and geotechnical mapping, data analysis, quality assurance/quality control, and resource estimation. She is an experienced user of Vulcan 7.5, Minesight, GVMapper, Arc GIS and GSlib software. Rosmery Cárdenas is fluent in English and Spanish.

Pierre Landry is a Geologist with five years of mining industry experience, including exploration projects in Botswana and Suriname. Mr. Landry’s experience includes creating block models and 3D wireframes using Gemcom software, managing drill hole databases, and evaluating advanced stage exploration to feasibility stage projects for acquisition.
