George Cargill is an independent Consulting Geologist and Consulting Engineer associated with RPA. Until 1987, Dr. Cargill was a Senior Consulting Geologist working world-wide with a major multinational mining company and, previous to that, was District Manager, Eastern Canada for a predecessor company.
Dr. Cargill has over 25 years of extensive experience in all facets of mineral exploration, from project generation and planning through to execution and management, as well as in mining geology, property assessment and resource estimation. In Canada he has extensive experience in both the Shield and the Cordillera. Dr. Cargill also has considerable experience in the western United States and Alaska. Offshore, he has been involved in mineral exploration in such diverse places as China, Ghana, Thailand, Philippines, Ireland, Portugal, Brazil, and Chile.
Dr. Cargill has a B.A.Sc. Degree from the University of Toronto, a M.Sc. Degree from Queen's University at Kingston and a Ph.D. Degree from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of several professional associations and has published on the porphyry and copper gold deposits of the Cordillera in B.C.
