James W. Hendry, P.Eng. Position: Principal Email: Mr. Hendry is a Consulting Mining Engineer and Principal of RPA. He has extensive experience in operations and engineering. Over a career of more than 25 years, he has attained a solid background in mining operations and development with extensive hands-on experience spanning diverse mineral commodities and mining technologies around the world. His industry career is marked by consistent, proven contributions adding value to many diverse mining enterprises. He has proven trouble shooting and problem-solving capabilities, demonstrated through the application of creativity and innovation to surmount complex technical and operational challenges. He has extensive experience in ore reserve estimation and mine planning using the most modern computer modeling.
Mr. Hendry has an extensive background in coal, base metals and precious metals operations, including mine management, mine design and new project development. His experience includes operations evaluation and optimization, project feasibility studies, financial modeling and analysis, environmental management, mine closure planning and site reclamation.
Prior to joining Roscoe Postle Associates Inc., Mr. Hendry worked in senior executive roles for mining and exploration companies including: Vice President of North American Operations and Vice President of Mining for Black Hawk Mining Inc., and Vice President of Engineering with Granduc Mining Corporation.
Mr. Hendry has a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Queen's University. He is a registered professional engineer in Ontario, and a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Past Chair of the Metal Mining Division; Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada; and Society of Mining Engineers, AIME.
