oQualifying And Listing Report Services

Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. prepares independent reports on exploration properties and more advanced properties where required by regulatory bodies, such as securities commissions and stock exchanges. Such reports include qualifying reports to support a prospectus for public financing and listing reports to support an application to list on a stock exchange.

Qualifying reports and listing reports in Canada generally must comply with National Instrument 43-101 by the Canadian Securities Administrators, which replaced National Policy 2-A, effective February 1, 2001. Reports can be on exploration properties, development properties or producing properties. A site visit to the property is required. National Instrument 43-101 incorporates the 2000 CIM definitions of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves. For reporting in the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission regulations apply. In some international cases, the Australian JORC Code is followed.

National Instrument 43-101 Compliance Services
National Instrument 43-101, under Canadian Securities Law, sets the reporting standards for the disclosure of mineral projects from February 1, 2001. National Instrument 43-101 is expected to improve the quality of disclosure on mineral projects and increase investor confidence in the Canadian mining industry. The key to the success of the new reporting provisions is the Qualified Persons concept. No quantity and grade estimates may be disclosed unless a Qualified Person has estimated the Mineral Reserves and Mineral Resources. A Qualified Person is a regulated professional who brings the application of professional standards and responsibility into the technical reports and to the public.

Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. personnel are members of Canadian self-regulating professional associations and are qualified to act as independent Qualified Persons for Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimations for most mineral commodities. John Postle, Roscoe Postle Associates Inc., was a member of the CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions that prepared the new CIM definitions and guidelines for reporting Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves in Canada. These new CIM definitions have been adopted for Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve reporting under National Instrument 43-101.

Since 1985, our business has primarily involved providing independent opinion on Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, technical aspects and economics of mining projects, valuation of mining and exploration properties and prefeasibility work. We have submitted numerous independent qualifying reports to Canadian securities commissions for prospectus filings, prepared stock exchange listing applicant reports, consulted on the implementation of mineral project work standards that adhere to TSE / OSC Mining Task Force best practices and have prepared, reviewed and approved news releases in connection with mineral projects on behalf of various clients.
