Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. acts as the independent engineer or independent consultant in bank financing of new mining projects or expansions of existing projects. The purpose is to provide comfort to the bank or banks about the viability of the project, to monitor construction of the project, and to certify completion of the facilites.
Assignments usually involve an initial due diligence review of the project, including a reserve audit and an in-depth review of the feasibility study. During project construction, Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. conducts periodic site visits to monitor construction progress and to compare actual costs and performance with the budget. Our monitoring reports may be used for periodic loan drawdowns during financing of the project. After construction and commissioning are completed, the independent engineer usually certifies completion of the project by monitoring and reviewing completion tests. |
